currier museum of art - manchester nh

Today was so beautiful.  Great temperature.  Blue skies.  Breezes.  Gorgeous. 

Took a road trip up to see the newly rennovated Currier Art Museum in Manchester NH.  What a great job they did on the expansion.  All of the art hanging in the museum now is property of the Currier, so non-flash photography is allowed everywhere in the museum.  They’ve added a bright and airy cafe called the Winter Garden as well.  On one wall is a huge snaking painting done in brilliant primary colors called “Twists and Swirls” that I really enjoyed.

I love swirly grid-based images. 

There’s a nice collection of New Hampshire artists on display now as well as some paintings by long lost cousins.

A couple of cranes got dropped off too…
