What better title for the image of a restored 1880’s tower clock made by Arnold & Lewis of Manchester, England than the date and time of the capture?

Dorothy and I visited Glen today to see his nearly-completely-restored and now-running clock.

It is fabulous.

I took a bunch of images with the Canon SC2, no flash/long exposure, with the aid of Glen’s wicked tripod with the pistol grip aiming/locking mechanism.  Yowza.  The rest of the images will be up on a tabblo shortly.

While visiting with Glen, we met Zen the Pug in person.  What an affectionate dollface she is…

In addition to showing us the finer parts of the clock and letting me take some snaps, Glen also treated us to some homemade scones (SCONES!!) and espresso with steamed milk.  YUM!

For those interested – Glen has an ongoing set of blog posts about his tower clock restoration project that you can see here.

For those that are curious about the recipe for the highly-addictive scones (SCONES!!), you can find it here.

Thanks Glen and Zen for a great morning!

Update:

I just finished a tabblo of the Clock.  The photos don’t really do the running clock justice.  When it is in motion, it is a beautiful dance of precision and balance.
